I'll have a look under the car later, its completly gone now so if it is the CV joint the boot will probably be ripped to shreds where its been spinning one side and not the other. Plus you can put the car in gear and hear the noise when the handbrake is on and not moving anywhere if you try and drive it so i'll look under while a mate loads it up and see if the prop is spinning and see what the CV's are doing if anything. Reason I was thinking CV is because it clunked when going round corners to start with. Now its smashed to bits whatever it is. Got a spare diff, halfshafts, propshaft and CV joints so should be ok whatever is wrong, unless the splines have gone in the hub. And I'm 90% sure the clutch isn't slipping now which is good. So the only problems I have with that is it not disengaging fully, but have spare master and slave cylinders and also found an installation manual for my clutch which shows a mod to the slave cylinder to solve exactly this type of problem (although not for my model Impreza, but hope its the same).
