Also, if we're being honest, the ST is not actually Ford's best contender in this catagory. If Ford had to put forward any model for this FWD modern hot hatch battle, it would have been the RS version not the ST.

I've gone 225 out of what is there. R26 R would be better though. Impreza hatch is missing as well as Focus RS, RS500, Impreza CS400.

Mazda for me.

Wouldn't even class the civic in the same category. Slow and bulky let alone hideous.

Same as the previous Tyre r. None have ever impressed f1 just look at how easy my 106 left buzzers down the Pod numerous times.

I think a Civic type R will run mid to low 15s maybe high 14s at a push.

I'm not sure any in the list will run faster than a mid 14 in standard trim, in fact I shall keep my eye out at pod this weekend for some see what they do

Not properly racing obviously but I would expect one to pull away from me. Whether he was a good drives or not pushing a car to the redline, changing gear and doing the same ain't gunna make a massive difference when on the road. Maybe half a second gain.
I just don't rate them. Don't like the look of them and lik every other Honda just seat forever and don't seem to get anywhere. That's my opinion anyway.but I'm sure jap lovers will like them. Just like French lovers will back French cars.
