Well, there's nothing more I can do.

New battery fitted last night

Manual fan switch replaced and rewired. Spent all last year opening bonnet if we needed fan on.

All lights check and working. Not sure how bright they are with the tints, but they work so meh! lol

Quick hoover and dust and its looking like a show car again.

Just need to tax it today and we'll be venturing out to fuel it up later read for the early start tomorrow.

I couldnt be any more excited.

2 x track rods swapped last night

1 x bearing to check and or swap tonight.

Rear wheels catch on heavy dips or pot holes or grates or accelarating or turning so it needs to be looked at. Its not the Rieger arch, it'll be the orginal Ford arch. So, wheel off to see where its touching, and a give it swift whack with the hammer. If that dont work we'll infortunatelly have to go up a mm or 2 and thats not good. Long term, a set of coilover will need to be purchased.

All in all 2011 has started well.

RE: *MAXXD* Clare's Rieger F40 Escort Cabriolet "BigCab"
I can honestly say so far the 2011 season has been wicked. Everywhere we go we're getting great reviews and everyone recons the new wheels make the cab the best its ever looked.

It might look pritty but its still a 26 year old Escort, so continous maintenance is part and partial. The new wheels are making the car tram line like a bitch so some poly top mount bushes have been purchased and all the fronts bushes are being replaced too. Then get it tracked up (dont know how yet) and see if that sorts it.

Also had an annoying oil leak from the oil feed to the turbo. It was only just leaking and only on high pressure, but straight onto the red hot turbo and smelling us out. So last week I went to nip it up a little and snapped it. Doh. A few phone calls later and manage to source another connector which has turned up today. It not designed to have any sealant but to make sure I'm gunna add a bit. lol.

Loving the new look and all the new attention.
