Well. Had a productive day.

Main wires for amp fitted through car. Which was a pain in the ass.

Amp test fitted. Can't finnish, cos I need a bit more carpet.

I might have another hour in the morning to get it finnished.

Nothing much I can do with stereo until I've got carpet for sub mount. But looking good and tidy so far for my first major instal.

So while I had time on my hands and in the garage mood I turn my attention to the boot. I've a couple of ideas for in there but I need to finish it before I show. The hydrolic pumps didnt stand out enough last year. They'd had a blow over with a rattle can and a DC sticker each, that's it.


They needed a bit of work, so last night they got 2 hours of rubbing down and they're now looking so much better. They've not had and metal polish yet and they look the shizzle now.

Boot floor is now covered in dust, so the easiest will be to simply paint it again rather that clean it, I recon. lol

Been a busy little Alanman this weekend again. If you thought BigCab was an attention whore before, just wait till you hear these bad boys. Spent all afternoon finishing it off, steeling the boot carpet out of the Merc and cutting and trimming. Who need Source Sounds or Plush? lol. Just need to stop things rattling now. lol.





Also started it up and drove it out the garage. Baring a bit of spluttering it started well. I know it only went about 5 yards but I LOVE this car. Okay, it aint the fastest car we've got, but damn, it definately the best sounding. The burble of the RST engine through those pipes is wicked.

Now its out the garage properly the wheels have settled sweet. I think its perfect. Clare's comment from just seeing the photo was "they look small". I am now officially excited for 2011.

Whats Clare knows, fitment looks good, cant wait to see it rolling.

You can now see the calipers. So got to decide on a colour. I might just freshen them up white again. I liked them white. Other option was red or blue or maybe even black with a sticker or something.

Sitting pretty now, looks loads better than the other pictures. Told you I had faith ;]

I love red calipers, but id say blue to match harnesses or match them to something else.

I think a nice metalic blue. The Vaux blue is about right, same as Als Zaf.

Although the engine bay will have a shit load more red hoses and pipes this year.
