We approached imagewheels.co.uk and told then what we have and what we wanted from them.

Their first advice was to go and source the tyres first. They said they can make wheels a shit load wider than tyres you can buy.

Originally we had in mind 14j with a 335 or 345 wide tyre. To then find that 335 and 345 tyres are a little on the expensive side. After an extensive search we descovered that Porsche run a 305 30 19 tyre on a 911 and because of this, that size tyre is widely available including part worns. The decision was made and 2 305 30 19 tyres were purchased.

Right, the next step is the wheels. We're going 13j on back and 10j on front. But image have a lot of choice and we have a short list of about 4 wheels. When you're spending £2k you need to make sure they're right. We've sold little cab and a few other bits so we're close to ordering the rears. Then save for the fronts. Going to do it that way so its not such an outlay in one go.

So out of these, what do you think?

Either the gold or just silver. Possibly black or graphite

To be completely honest, none of them. None of them shout 'BigCab' to me :/

Mr Rieger himself put number 2 on the F40 back in the day. 15" mind you. So they'll be perfect b ut a bitch to clean. They are the favs at the minute.

Number 1 would prob be the next choice. Its a classic wheel and that style has always looked good on old Fords. Prob not gold though. Maybe graphite or or just plain silver.

Number 3 Is a modern variation of 1.

Number 4 is the wild card. I like it but not sure if the look right for BigCab. But we might change our minds when we get there next week.

Dont forget all the ones pictured above have about a 2" outer, but on BigCab this will be minimum 8"

I daren't go any more poke like the cool kids, but I reon the cab's not too bad in that department as it is. It dont need to go any lower and to be fair it cant anyway without being tubbed.

I think i sits bang on at the minute, if I can get it to sit the same on the new wheel I'll be well happy

Everytime I look, I recon number 1 is slowly becoming favourite. Maybe not gold, although I do like it gold on my expert photoshop. lol.

i like the colours of 1, but the style of 3, however im kinda of the same thinking as pyro, none of them shout OMG, BIG CAB!

but it maybe your "Photoshop" not doing them justice, whatever its gonan be a tough one to call, its a lot of money to not be happy with so i suppose asking us lot prob wont help you too much lol

in the mean time im gonna scour image wheels see if i can find any that shout Big Cab too me

I know what you're all saying but if I'd posted pictures of the Aligators 4 years ago would any have said they like them, but they've been the best wheel ever for the car.

And in all honesty I dont think it'll matter toooo much when there's a 8" dish. lol.

We'll see next week if anything shouts at us.
