RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab
i think it looks loads differant but for all the right reasons, only thing is though Al you gonna have to pull an even better idea out the bag next year cos i reckon once folk see Big Cab 09 they will start to jump on the band wagon, but will remember who started it, it kicks ass in my opinion

The more I look at the photos the more I'm liking it. The join was the bit we liked the least to start with, but now the highlights are there its growing on me. Clare's even warming to it.

I've laquered the grill now spener and I'm loving it now. I'm actually glad it got done like that.

We'll give it a good clean and polish and I recon it'll look even better still. Things always look better when they're clean. It's not the end of the world, if it doesn't get the responce we like then we'll just change it. To be fair if we hate it that much its all been repaired at the front now, so it wouldnt be a big job to rip it off and just have it painted again.

RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab
Had front wheel off AGAIN last night, we produced a rattle on the way home from ED. Stupid big wheels don't do the car any good at all. But it is nice being able to use it again. I love the sun. We're gunna use as much as poss this year to get the use out of it. Just go out for a ride like we used to.

Just a hoover out tommorow (cos its ditched) and another polish, then we'll see what sort of reaction we get at Fast Show on Sunday. That should be interesting. Hopefully it'll give Clare a boost cos although everyone has told her they like it, she still not 100% convinced. Dumb Ass!!

Alan

I've been a busy man. Finally done something I've wanted to do for ages. I've redone the boot and got the sub back in.

This is what it DID look like

This is what it looks like now

I wasnt sure how the temerature of the zort would effect the subs/leather, but it went to the pob and back yesterday and no fire. There's nothing touching the exhaust but the closest bit is only an inch away. We do have an extinguisher on hand just incase. lol.

They're not actually wired up yet, but thats the easy bit. I'll get that done at some point this week.
I've might do a little more to try to hide the hole where the exhaust goes through. I just wanted to see how it went first.

RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab
I hadn't seen the changes till now Al.

If you had asked me before you did it I would probably have said it was a shit idea but seeing it I really like it.

The silver highlights make the break look like cracked filler - legendary! (and somewhat ironic don't you think?).

As for the rust - I saw Escorts with more than that back when you bought it so you are doing well there.

Long live BIG CAB!

RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab
Its difficult to think of something new to buy for BigCab, so I turned to the Rieger catalogue and ordered a euro style numberplate surround.

I think it looks cool. What do you recon?

I dont know where from but some MAXXD.com ones would be quite cool.
