Its not dirt, it was snowing. lol.

I finally did something I've wanted to do for ages, I've lowered BigCab©, not much but enought to notice. Its gone down about 35mm on the front and a bit less on back. You cant really tell on photo but it is looking lower

RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab
Right, its March soon and we've got some big changes planned for BigCab '09 so I've actually made a start.

First off the interior needs sorting to match the cream leather. This is simply, the dash and door cards being painted cream and black. A good day should sort that.

The boot need freshening up too, its looking untidy and I want the subs put in there too, they got took out of the car when the leather got put in and been on garage bench ever since.

Got a little tidying under the engine bay to do too. Nez has sold us an RS16i rocker cover and that will be fitted as soon as I can. There's potentially some modding needed for the charge pipe as the RS 16i rocker is alloy and sits a tad higher than the standard one. Might be a job for Mr grinder. Then just a f'in good clean. I've been searching ebay for all the shiney stuff but low down on priority at the minute.

There a bit of work on the inner wings. The transition from the Rieger outer wing to the Ford inner wing has alway been an issue (the 10mm bolts looked shit) so its time to get sorted. I've already made some plastic covers and they just need fibreglassing, filling and painting. The idea is to hide the bolts.

There not much need on the outside, a few stone chips and a bit of cracked filler. Problem is that Candy paint can't be touched up, it needs a full paint job. So you never know, there might be a whole new look BigCab in 2009.

Could do with 2 tyres but thats the last thing on the list at £170+ each. lol.

The shows are coming up very fast and I have tonnes of work to do. But I wouldnt have it any other way.
I'll try to remember progress shots.

I'm actually excited for the new BigCab.

RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab
Had a busy week and done loads (still loads to do though), I've repaired the panel below windscreen, a few huge stone chips and tidied the bolts under the edge of the bonnet. Its now booked in for next week for front end to be sorted after my repairs. Sorry Ol, I know you liked it last time when you got to attack BigCab with the sandpaper, maybe next time. lol.

Also treated it to some new leads and plugs and dizzy cap. Charged it up and it fired up like a good un. An RS Turbo in a closed garage sounds evil. I couldnt see shit but it sounded good. lol.

I taxed it Friday and took it out for its first trip Saturday and it was an awsome feeling driving it again. I've owned allsorts of fast cars but still get the biggest buzz out the lot driving BigCab. Even though it looked a bit of a mess with the repairs at the front, we still got mobbed at Subway in Ilkeston with people wanting to take photos. I dont care what people think about fibreglass, BigCab still attracts more attention than any Cossie or Skyline would do.

Still got the dash to paint, the subs to go in the boot and a new screen is on the cards to this week. I can see a few late nights coming up. Need to top up on the redbull, me thinks.

Full steam ahead and all on target for Fast Show.

Right I have a bag full of rattle cans (including Ford Sierra Beige lol) for another busy night in the garage.

I love being in this frame of mind.
