hahaha you bastard!

newth kept laughing at my car all night cos of how bodged the wiring was Icon_lol

ITS NOT MY FAULT!

I bought it like that!!

Anyway, newth decided it would be a good idea to lable up and remove all the wiring from the pickup, instead of figure out where the stray wires went (there were a LOT of stry wires!!)

what we found was that there was two wiring looms lobbed together!

whats basically happened, is the guy who had it before me has put a mk2 golf engine in it, but instead of removing the old mk1 wiring loom and making the mk2 one run everything, he las left the old wiring in and left that running the lights etc, and there is another loom just for the engine!

so we have started stripping the looms, removing anything that isnt labled up, and then making one loom out of two Icon_smile

pile of wires removed! two wiring looms

initial shit removed like the heatshrink/wrap from the looms and stray wires

the two looms stripped and labled, now we need to remove anything else stray and fit back into the car, making sure we do a good job of runnning the cables so it doesnt look a mess!

Hopefully tonight as long as nothing crops up i should be taking the truck to Stu's for some well needed work;

Exhaust re-fit
Rear shocks swapped
Rear arches fixed
Paint job!!!!

Right, a very busy weekend for the caddy!

Got it to stu's, we chopped out the rear arches and re-did them - i say WE, i mean STU Icon_lol

Stu made me a new exhaust too as we couldnt get the existing one to sit right..

We fitted new rear shocks (thanks dubmodder, they cleaned up to almost new!!)

We fitted the rear roll pan and painted it (roughly)

We sealed the box and painted it satin black..

Doesnt sound a lot, but it took all weekend and the pickup looks a lot better for it!

Caddy is back home, and next on the list is to re-paint most of it after a bit of a sanding session, refit the wiring looms and dash etc and get the bitch on the road!

I Badly need another compressor though, so gotta get £100 put to one side soon!

Pics to come later!
