*MAXXD* Tia's Polo GTI - Tia. - 02-07-2013 12:43 PM Now I highly doubt I will update this very often as time and money will not allow me, plus my warranty probably wont like it either, however I am collecting parts as I go Bought the car in January from a local garage (biggest mistake ever as they have been a royal pain and caused me no end of problems) but despite this, the car has been pretty fun to have. Things that broke and have been fixed/replaced; Radiator and all connections Half the wiring loom Central locking mechanisims Window motors Electric window switch Brake light switch Oil (three times) And sump has been off to clean out having got blocked and leaving me with no oil pressure - inc pressure switch, filters, seals, plugs etc All of this stuff because the garage I got her from is complete imcompetant and I feel they would be better selling cheese than cars, thats how much they know about what they're selling! Shes got a couple of paint work imperfections that need sorting from the previous owner and wheels need a coat of paint, but I love her. Only thing I've really changed is the lower grills to the honeycomb versions. I have plans, as we all do, but only time will tell if they stay the same or not. All my money is being sucked up by another secret (for now) project). ![]() ![]() original grill ![]() new grill ![]() ![]()
RE: *MAXXD* Tia's Polo GTI - Sazzle - 02-07-2013 02:55 PM looks smart RE: *MAXXD* Tia's Polo GTI - Spener - 02-07-2013 05:20 PM Yay Lilu RE: *MAXXD* Tia's Polo GTI - widdo - 02-07-2013 06:26 PM Really like these. Just cost a fortune! RE: *MAXXD* Tia's Polo GTI - OllieWestwood - 02-07-2013 10:22 PM The grills are a huge improvement, just like it should have come from the factory! I love the seats also, something retro about them but with a modern twist What's this one called? And are we going to see her at any shows? RE: *MAXXD* Tia's Polo GTI - Tia. - 03-07-2013 02:27 PM This is Lilu I love the seats too, they did do a leather option but I definately prefer these. She may well make it to a couple we shall have to see where I am, and if she would fit in as shes still pretty standard Not going down the cheap and cheerful coilover route for this one, going for something more substantial (and not air) so might take me a while. Went on a trip to Belgium in her earlier on this year with some rather nice cars and she kept up quite well I have to say! ![]() ![]()
