Ok....

Air Filter is on!

It was a nice easy job, a little fiddly but there is no room to work under that bay (nothing like the punto!)

But its on she sucks real well, it looks smart and best of all.....as i back off the throttle i get a lovely "Wastegate chatter" - compressor surge noise its highly addictive.

Another glug of 99 ron, fit my boost gauge giver her a clean and were ready for next weeekend!

While we were changing that Will had an induction kit to fit to his New CTR, that involved Metabll removing the front bumper , another fiddly job

and at the back the not so nice facelift lights were replaced by the more subtle and stylish pre facelift versions

boooo horrid standardness.....

Looks good mate. Did you keep the standard induction scoop in place still? It's quite an effective fresh air feed, even for the aftermarket filter.

I now know the answer to my signature. lol. (the true answer)

It was like a set of kids a christmas with their new toys. I cant remember get that excited when I've even fitted an induction kit.

I'm glad I've not got a Honda / Jap car. Having to take off both bumpers to fit an induction kit and rear light units. What is that about? Crazy!

And can someone buy the Westwoods a couple of belts between them for gods sake, cos if I see Meatball's arse crack any more I may lose my breakfast.

Anyway, well done boys (Meatball) you did well with one spaner between you all.

Alanman

we have an old lady next door, sure she wasnt impressed with me and neil revving at gone 10pm other night

- LeeWestwood - 29-07-2007 12:55 AM

Have to admit when i heard the chatter i was very impressed. such a mint noise and something you dont hear all that often. I can understand blowing loads of petrol as we all do first week or so when we do a mod that sounds as good as that. infact i blew a gearbox up in the del sol listening to induction roar in 1st lol.

Look forward to hearing the result of the USC showdown result with wardo, good luck mate Icon_smile

*deep breath* It's not the WAAASTEGAAAAAATE!

Ahh....that's better. Icon_biggrin

Have you done the "pidgeon mod" then Oll, i.e. removed the recirc?? It'll overfuel quite a bit now, and if you've still got your front cat in place it's gonna melt fairly quickly because of all the unburnt fuel igniting inside it.
