Danny Wass! I went to school with Dan, he is a dab hand with electronics too Icon_smile

Should be in safe hands there dude!

Yes mate, he still dabbles in that side of stuff but gave it up full time. Done painting on bikes for a while and wants to branch out. He's doing the wheels, I've located a frenched tailgate so he's gonna do that aswell. Hopefully drag a bit more business on that side of things and get his name out there. His websites in development stages so he can add bits on there as he does them Icon_smile Not doing major damage repairs he says tho lol

How are things coming along Si?

RE: Si's mk3 golf vr6 - SNH - 08-08-2013 09:25 AM

The list keeps getting bits added to it lol.

Dans away so wheels will be sorted when he's bk.

Just searching round places now trying to get prices together on everything and work out where to start Icon_smile

Ripped all the stereo gear out & flogged that ready to chuck some decent stuff in. Mate of mines big into his audio & has a jl fetish so it'll be jl speakers and maybe the Orion hcca sub & amp he's trying to talk me into Icon_smile

Can't wait to get it sorted, the turbo noise of our lasses vrs doesn't have the same ring to it haha

Stripping has commenced!

Had to lower the beam to get the milltek on as the bk box and middle box are welded instead of being separate. The old system was a mare to remove, think they were still the original bolts! Rusted, seized you name it.

Managed to get one side stripped of the disc/pads and bearings but again everything was seized. The Allen bolts that the carriers are held on by are now not Allen bolts lol, the mole grips took care of that. The other side is still seized solid so I've drowned them in wd and left to soak.

There was much swearing and loss of skin to hands and knuckles, it also came close to getting a hammer through the roof.

A quick coffee & fag break made me see sense

Seized as you like!

Not so seized!
