RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab - Spener - 27-11-2009 04:12 PM Its a shame reps don't come in decent widths. Image Wheels Offset/ET Calculator Tyrestretch RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab - Alanman - 27-11-2009 05:07 PM Following our conversation and looking at the stretch tyres, I recon they go. They'd stick out about 19mm more than the chromes but the chromes do actually sit a little under the arch. Although there's shit loads of split rims on image wheels that get me all excited for not much more money. I might stick the chromes on ebay and see if I get a bite. lol. RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab - Spener - 27-11-2009 05:46 PM Do it, you got nothing to lose. Actually had a dream last night that i saw them on an a6 avant. Not much left really, should be able to get all done in one night including cleaning. I do have a couple of things to buy. I've sheared on connector for the oil feed to the turbo and I also need a connector for the water to the turbo. Contemlating not running water though, so that might be one problem solved. Not sure yet (?) All the alloy bits off Newth have been 1200 wet flatted because they were well pittered. They now look like brushed steel, but I hit one piece with some metal polish and its come up like a mirror. YAY RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab - Alanman - 02-12-2009 01:19 PM I know you all want photos so here's a couple. This is what I've been spending most of my time while rebuilding the engine. ![]() ![]() I am getting bored polishing very quickly. lol RE: *Member* Clare's BigCab - Pyrotechnic - 02-12-2009 01:50 PM Looks much better though, really does. Are you going for brushed or mirror finish? |
