RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - Alanman - 25-07-2013 10:26 AM Did you find a foreign plated Focus on purpose? lol. Focus ST for me obviously. Also, if we're being honest, the ST is not actually Ford's best contender in this catagory. If Ford had to put forward any model for this FWD modern hot hatch battle, it would have been the RS version not the ST. RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - Fernandofan08 - 25-07-2013 06:48 PM Didnt rate the 225 compared to its improved r26, but id still go for the 225. RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - OllieWestwood - 25-07-2013 07:40 PM Vote for it then RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - Saint AAI - 31-07-2013 08:00 AM I've gone 225 out of what is there. R26 R would be better though. Impreza hatch is missing as well as Focus RS, RS500, Impreza CS400. RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - Tia. - 31-07-2013 04:09 PM I'm torn between two RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - widdo - 01-08-2013 10:23 AM Mazda for me. Wouldn't even class the civic in the same category. Slow and bulky let alone hideous. RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - OllieWestwood - 01-08-2013 11:27 AM Slow and bulky? Honda Civic type R? You serious? RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - widdo - 01-08-2013 12:12 PM If my big and bulky 120d can keep up with one. Then yes. Same as the previous Tyre r. None have ever impressed f1 just look at how easy my 106 left buzzers down the Pod numerous times. RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - OllieWestwood - 01-08-2013 01:24 PM I think a Civic type R will run mid to low 15s maybe high 14s at a push. I'm not sure any in the list will run faster than a mid 14 in standard trim, in fact I shall keep my eye out at pod this weekend for some see what they do And define 'keeping up with one?" We're you racing? Where where you? Who was in the other car? Can they drive it properly? RE: Modern Day Hot Hatch battle - widdo - 01-08-2013 01:55 PM Not properly racing obviously but I would expect one to pull away from me. Whether he was a good drives or not pushing a car to the redline, changing gear and doing the same ain't gunna make a massive difference when on the road. Maybe half a second gain. I just don't rate them. Don't like the look of them and lik every other Honda just seat forever and don't seem to get anywhere. That's my opinion anyway.but I'm sure jap lovers will like them. Just like French lovers will back French cars. |
