You dont know everything mate. - meatball westwood - 30-07-2007 06:45 PM what i said was compressor charge you muppet just didnt say compressor charge, - OllieWestwood - 31-07-2007 07:54 PM Ok, Last update id have thought before USC: Boost gauge has arrived this morning and is now fitted nicely on the dash! On the second attempt as i managed to get the T Piece on the wrong hose so it was showing pressure as i backed off! Now it sits right and boost nicely up to around 13psi (0.9 bar) which is what i was anticipating Next a good clean, removal of rear seats - a) for camping purposes b) to save weight then off to USC - Roger_Sausage - 31-07-2007 08:33 PM Not sure whether you've sorted it already mate, but at 13psi you could do with getting some colder spark plugs in, you're gonna get close to melting the tips off. - OllieWestwood - 01-08-2007 09:05 AM i havent yet no... there only around - Roger_Sausage - 01-08-2007 10:06 AM 13 psi sounds a touch high for just a de-cat, especially as the front one is still in place, standard boost is 7psi in 1st gear and then 10psi in the rest. You can only go by the gauge you have though mate, if it were mine I'd stick a set of Denso IK22's in to be safe....it'll be no good running a 14 at the Pod if you can't drive home afterwards. - OllieWestwood - 01-08-2007 11:14 AM Shit dont say that! Ill have to invest in some colder plugs then it seems! - Roger_Sausage - 01-08-2007 12:14 PM I know that at 14psi, melted spark plugs are an almost certainty, so if you're at 13psi then it's gonna be borderline, especially as the weather's warmed up and you're still running the standard WMIC. - OllieWestwood - 01-08-2007 06:43 PM Pic of my Boost Gauge in situe! Not where it is staying eventually i want a A Pillar pod but the proper twin ones are around 60 quid so this will do for now! ![]()
